In 1995 I was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia. It makes it hard for me to think clearly or interact with people. I would hear voices that would scare me. For ten years I lived in shelters, hospitals or prison, going nowhere. In November 2005, I found BRC and my life changed. I've been sober now for a year. More important, I learned to live with my disease. Now I have my health. I'm going to school getting ready to get my GED, and I'm a partime cook. Maybe one day I'll come back and work for BRC.
